Centralinformationasean.com,26/11/2024) Philipinas, Pumalag si Vice President Sara Duterte sa binitawang pahayag ni National Security Adviser (NSC) Eduardo Ano nitong Linggo, Nobyembre 24, kung saan iginiit nito na ang ‘kill order’ na sinabi ng Bise Presidente laban kina Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Unang Ginang Liza Araneta-Marcos, at Speaker Martin Romualdez ay isang “matter of national security.”
“National security pertains to the protection of our sovereignty, the safety of the Filipino population, and the preservation of our democratic institutions. The function of the National Security Council is confined to the formulation of policies in furtherance of such pursuits,” sabi ni VP Sara sa kanyang open letter ngayong Lunes, Nobyembre 25.
Hiniling din ni Duterte sa NSC na isama sa susunod na pagpupulong nito na iprisinta rin ng Konseho sa Office of the Vice President (OVP) ang nakalap nitong impormasyon na may kinalaman sa pagbabanta sa kanya, kanyang tanggapan at mga tauhan.
“As a member of the National Security Council (EO 115 Dec 24, 1986), I do not recall receiving a single notice of meeting since 30 June 2022. I request the NSA to please send to me the notarized minutes of all meetings conducted by the Council from 30 June 2022, if any. I want to review what the council has accomplished so far, in terms of policies and recommendations for national security,” dagdag pa Bise Presidente.
Pinagpapaliwanag din ni Duterte si Ano sa loob ng 24-oras kung ano ang legal na basehan kung bakit ang Bise Presidente ay hindi miyembro ng NSC o bakit diya hindi naiimbita sa mga pagpupulong ng Council.
